What We Believe
We believe in the importance and gifts of evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the function of the church today.
Sign-gifts, including tongues, gradually disappeared as the Scriptures were completed and their authority became established. However, God does hear and answer the prayer of faith and asking according to His will for the sick (John 15:7, 1 John 5:14).
Members believe in the Trinity, God eternally existing as three persons – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – having the same attributes and perfections (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:1-3, John 1:1-4).
We believe in the personality of Satan, his responsibility for the fall of Adam, and his eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:10-15).
Man was created in the image of God, but because of Adam’s sin, humanity has inherited a sinful nature. Members believe man is totally depraved and cannot by himself remedy his lost condition (Jeremiah 17:9, Romans 3:19,23).
We believe Jesus Christ died and paid the penalty for their sin and that those who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood (Romans 5:6-9).
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of the Lord and His ascension into Heaven (Acts 1:9, 10, Luke 24:6-8).
Salvation is the gift of God to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for our sins. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
All the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and thus secure in Christ forever (John 3:36, 10:28).
In addition, we seek to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ here and around the world (Mark 16:15).
